He's a poetry-writing boardgamer with small-town charm and big city style! Ramen, sun tea, and the great outdoors is a slice of happiness for Jason Irwin. Get to know Irwin.

Fresh catfish and sun tea.
Before working at Kosh, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I ran a shoe store in St. Louis, MO.
What did you dream of “being” when you were in high school?
Playwright. I still write poetry and short stories as a hobby.
What is one or two "passion projects" (hobbies, dreams, activities) that get your feet out of bed? Tell me about what has drawn you to those activities.
I like to go hiking and play board games. Hiking keeps me mentally fresh and board games create camaraderie.
What's your favorite board game of all time and what's your favorite currently?
Favorite of all time is Catan, Favorite Currently: Lost Ruins of Arnak.
Who is your hero and why?
My grandfather. He survived the great depression, a lost peach crop, and other inconveniences which would have broken most people.
What really makes you angry?
Ticketmaster service charges.
What makes you really happy?
Being outside, surrounded by nature.
What is your favorite nature spot near ABQ?
Golden Open Space. It's about 45 minutes from ABQ but worth the drive!
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I like fashion, can’t afford it, but I try to dress halfway relevant.
What is it about fashion that interests you?
It's the expressiveness of the clothes. I grew up only wearing hand me downs and generic shoes, so the first time I saw a GQ magazine, I was shocked that guys could dress different than a farmer.
What is the best book you have ever read?
The Jungle by Upton Sinclair.
What is the best concert you attended?
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Ramen since the varieties are endless. The best brand hands down is Nongshim and the Spice Seafood is the way to go!
What would you like to be known for?
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
1969 to see Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock
What's your favorite holiday?
What was your favorite subject in school?
Do you collect anything?
Board Games - I have about 30 at this point.
If you had to change careers, what would you change to?
I would be an equity options trader, selling SPY puts.
Do you have a most “exciting” moment?
When I moved to the city…I saw all the tall buildings and was in awe. It felt like a new horizon was dawning.
What is something you are proud of?
I never sacrificed my integrity to achieve what I have.
Anything else you would like the public and your Kosh colleagues to know?
Season ticket holder for NM United! Somos Unidos!
