Secure Your Network
Sometimes finding the right security solution can be a challenge, and through the years we have seen some fairly impressive (and pretty terrible) security software. Protecting your corporate network is not as simple as just loading the latest antivirus on your company computers. New viruses are finding ways around the antivirus software to hijack your computer. In addition to workstation and server protection through antivirus software, a corporate network needs a network device to analyze traffic coming in and going out of the network. These devices will catch malicious traffic that your antivirus software is permitting. Together these solutions secure your network from point of entry all the way to the workstation.
Once network protection software and devices are deployed on your network the next is patch management. In most cases a security fix is available that would stop malware from being able to infect your network.
The final step is creating network protection policies. Examples of these types of policies would be: requiring antivirus software to be current, strong passwords are used, and that employees are only allowed to view company related websites. The majority of our customers that have these network security recommendations in place see little or no downtime related to computer malware or infections. They also significantly reduce the chances of identity theft of their employees, or theft of company intellectual property.
